SAT guidelines to forum members

Post by admin »

Dear ALL,

This is specifically to bring the following guidelines to the kind attention of all active members, ONCE AGAIN :

1) Whenever any member wishes to make a post, by quoting the ENTIRE text of any post of any other member, all one has to do is to simply click on “Reply with quote”, at the top right-hand corner of the relevant post of the other member, in the concerned topic - and this action will automatically open an edit window, in the concerned topic. Then - AFTER ensuring that the quote is FIRST closed by
- continue making your observations, about the quoted text, below that - and then click on ‘Submit’. The date of the post of the other member will appear on top right-hand corner, and the reference name of the quoted member will appear on the top left-hand corner, with a blue arrow beside same. On clicking this blue arrow, one will automatically be taken to the post of the quoted member, if so desired. If the post of the quoted member is to be viewed simultaneously, then simply click on the blue arrow, by FIRST holding down the ‘Ctrl’ key on your laptop or PC keyboard, and the relevant post will appear in a separate window, to facilitate intermittent viewing.

If only a small part of the text is required to be referred to, then simply click on “Reply with quote”, at the top right-hand corner of the relevant post, then in the edit window, DELETE all other portions of the quoted text which are not required, and just retain ONLY the required text, and then - AFTER ensuring that the quote is FIRST closed by
(END quote) - continue making your observations, about that selected part of the quoted text, below that - and then click on ‘Submit’.

If SEVERAL such small parts, or sections, of the quoted text are required to be referred to, then simply click on “Reply with quote”, at the top right-hand corner of the relevant post, then proceed as follows:

a) Retain the entire topmost identity line of the quote which is within brackets [ ] (OPEN quote), followed by only the first part of the required text, which should be closed by
(END quote). Then, below this, make your observations about this part of the text.

b) Any part of the text which is not required, and for which there are no observations to be made, should be deleted.

c) The remaining required parts of the quoted text should EACH be within quotations, SEPARATELY, viz., followed by the relevant observations to be made below, and after EACH such SEPARATE required part of the quoted text.

d) After this your further post observations may follow, below that.

When all required parts have been duly addressed, and further observations have been completed, click on ‘Submit’.

2) This phpBB has a word correction facility available, which should be availed of by all active members whenever they are making any posts. By simply tapping anywhere in the edit window, the words which require to be corrected will be underlined in red. Proper names, and such other words, which do not require any correction should be ignored. Any English words which have errors in spelling may be corrected – one by one - by simply right-clicking on the relevant word, and then selecting the required corrected word which appears in the pop-up window, and the relevant word in the edit window will automatically be corrected. Click on ‘Submit’, only after all required corrections have been made.

With best wishes to ALL MEMBERS and ALL VIEWERS of the Forum,

SAT

SAT guidelines to forum members

Post by admin »

Dear ALL,

Further to earlier guidelines in preceding post, above - all are requested to also be familiar with the guidelines in the post made to a member, earlier, below -

== QUOTE ==

Dear jaycdp,

Earlier, there used to be a lot of ‘back-biting’ - directly, indirectly, or subtly – on this forum, between members affiliated to different groups and having different opinions about the Knowledge. Most of such members no longer post on this forum, and many of them have even left the Knowledge completely.

Presently, mostly everyone appreciates that there are going to be different groups, with differences of opinion about the Knowledge, until the end of Confluence Age. Therefore, they are facilitated to post in a group to which they belong to – exclusively - without feeling the need or urge to interfere with, or even comment about, the ideas or opinions of anyone else posting in any other group, or sub-forum.

Since, you do not appear to belong to any particular group – currently - you have the liberty to express your views on any post of any topic of any sub-forum, but it would be better to restrict your personal CONFLICTING posts to an individual topic of your own, which has been created for you already. You are advised not to keep on posting your CONFLICTING personal views and opinions in different sub-forums, since you may not be entirely clear about the belief systems to which other members may be affiliated, and who may feel offended by your CONFLICTING personal views and opinions. NO ONE will feel inclined to respond to your such CONFLICTING posts!

You can refer to any post from any topic of any sub-forum by creating a link to that post, but your CONFLICTING post should appear only in the individual topic of your own, viz., = Personal Views and Questions of ex-BK 'jaycdp' = created exclusively for you in the sub-forum, = For Ex-BKs & Common Room =
You are always free to ask for genuine clarifications from anyone belonging to any group, PROVIDED same are positive, constructive and for your own benefit, WITHOUT creating an impression that you know better than what anyone else believes in, and WITHOUT inadvertently causing any possible offence to anyone else!

The process of quoting from any other post of any other topic of any other sub-forum, was sent to you very much earlier, but you paid scant attention to same. The same has been referred to you, once again, in post dated 11 Dec 2022, in the topic = We receive our inheritance through Jagadamba = and in the sub-forum = Questioning, Discussing & Debating =

The relevant guidelines are reiterated below -

In order to quote a particular point in any post of any member, you have to click on the “Reply with quote” button appearing on the top-most right-hand corner; this will automatically open a new window, along with the entire original post, which also contains a link to the original post. If there are several points in the original post, you can delete those which are not required, in the window itself, and retain only the one which you are commenting on, taking care to retain the topmost line, and the second line which indicates the date of the Murli, if any, and the bottom most line, as in the example below -
The first OPEN "quote" line which contains the link - within brackets, viz. []
The second line which has the date of the Murli - if any
The required point within the original post which you wish to comment on
The last END "quote" line - within brackets, viz. []

Alternatively, you may simply copy the topmost line, along with the second (if any), and the last line, and paste same separately on a word file on your laptop. These lines should appear separately, one above the other. Then copy the required point of the original post and paste same between the second and the last line. After this you can make your required comments, after leaving two lines below the last END "quote" line.
This would then be the actual post which you require to make.
Simply copy this from your laptop and paste same in a COMPLETELY blank window of your new post, and you will get the same result.
Since you are now requested to restrict your own CONFLICTING posts to only one single topic of your own, viz., = Personal Views and Questions of ex-BK 'jaycdp' = created exclusively for you in the sub-forum, = For Ex-BKs & Common Room = it would be best for you to proceed as follows –

1. Click on the “Reply with quote” button appearing on the top-most right-hand corner of ANY post, of ANY topic, within ANY sub-forum.

2. Copy the topmost line (OPEN "quote" line which contains the link); along with the second line (which has the date of the Murli - if any); and the last line (END "quote" line), and paste same separately on a word file on your laptop, one above the other.

3. Then copy the required point within the original post which is to be quoted, and paste same between the second and the last line - or the first and the last line, as the case may be. (This will ensure that the required quote appears in a SEPARATE block, above your comments – which you have to make BELOW this block, and NOT within it)!

4. After this you can make your required comments, after leaving two lines below the last END "quote" line (which will then appear below the SEPARATE block when you finally ‘Submit’ your post.) This would then be the actual post which you require to make.

5. The topic designation of the original post which you desire to quote will appear in the Subject: window - on top of the original post which you desire to quote. Just copy this topic name from THAT Subject: window, and paste it right on top of your new post, ABOVE the first OPEN "quote" line which contains the link, so as to identify the topic of the post which you wish to quote. This will appear above the quote block of the original post, when you finally ‘Submit’ your post.

6. Simply copy this from your laptop, after checking for correct usage and grammar of the English language on your laptop itself, and paste same in a COMPLETELY blank window of your new post, which you desire to make – but this should NOT be made out in the original topic of the original sub-forum – but this should be made out in the single topic of your own, viz., = Personal Views and Questions of ex-BK 'jaycdp' = created exclusively for you in the sub-forum, = For Ex-BKs & Common Room = The topic designation of your current post will appear automatically in the Subject: window - on top of your current post, viz., = Personal Views and Questions of ex-BK 'jaycdp' =

7. After pasting above in the edit window, you may carry out further editing in the edit window itself. The topic designation of the original post may be made B (Bold); and Large (which can be selected by clicking on the arrow pointing downward in the 'Normal' window on top). Please note that for any of the top commands to take effect, you have to FIRST SELECT the word, or words, or part of a sentence, or the whole sentence, or the paragraph, which you need to apply the command to - whether B (Bold), I (Italic), U (Underline), Colour, Size, etc.

8. You can also check for any errors of the English language in the edit window on the forum itself. You can also 'Preview' your current post to ensure everything is in order before finally clicking on 'Submit'.
And finally click on ‘Submit’. That’s it!

Please note that one does not have to be a registered member of this forum, only to keep reading the posts in any topic, in any sub-forum. Anyone who is not a member can keep reading the posts anytime. One has to be a registered member only if one wishes to post and express own views, and avail of other facilities which can be accessed only by registered members.

== UNQUOTE ==

If any quoted post is to be viewed simultaneously, then simply click on the blue arrow, by FIRST holding down the ‘Ctrl’ key on your laptop or PC keyboard, and the relevant post will appear in a separate window, to facilitate intermittent viewing.

With best wishes to ALL MEMBERS and ALL VIEWERS of the Forum,

Dear admin
It is, great to know the positive news.
I wish all of you good luck in this journey.
As a practitioner of Baba's knowledge. the last thing I want to do is destroy the positive vibration that people like yourself are cultivated

My state of mind is in a dire state, I had two years of electroconvulsive therapy.
Making a sentence and writing an opinion, I had to relearn from scratch and there is a limitation due to the medication that I am taking.

And I am taking a high dose of antidepressants, psychotics and anti-convulsant medications. on top of that, my long-term memory of using computers was also deleted.
Now my eyesight is not that great along with attention to detail.
So if knowingly or unknowingly I have hurt anybody or his work in this forum I am apologizing for it sincerely
Due to the above-mentioned reason, I let you know, I would not be able to restudy the methods of quoting and colouring etc.

thank you again

Dear Jay,

Your preceding post has been noted, but judging from your recent posts in the topic = Re: Personal Views and Questions of ex-BK 'jaycdp' = of the sub-forum = For Ex-BKs & Common Room = it is very CLEAR and evident that you are very intelligent and very sharp in your perspectives and you possess the ability to follow the guidelines ACCURATELY without any difficulty.

Therefore, you are, ONCE AGAIN, requested to kindly post ALL your queries ONLY in the topic = Re: Personal Views and Questions of ex-BK 'jaycdp' = of the sub-forum = For Ex-BKs & Common Room = henceforth, APPROPRIATELY, and abide by the forum regulations.

Thank you, and with best wishes,

Dear Admin

I cannot thank you enough.

I do not know how to say sorry for the number of mistakes that are all related to similar issues.

First of all, the first time I realized that you created a topic for me to display my openions was when Arjun Bhayi mentioned this last month. Since your web has 1000s of debates, I did find it difficult to find that section. I was wondering why you kept mentioning I had moved it. What I thought was you were angry at me, so you removed it.

The reason I got confused was because the reply from Mbhat came to my notification. I was very concerned when I was providing an opening. I should have asked and taken your advice before I jumped to this conclusion. I hereforth am construding it is alright for me to reply to any body who send notification to me in such a way that I can write my opening in the personal view of jaycdp

Let me highlight the confusion; it was the red notification that I thought and compelled me to reply MNBHAT

Let me thank you and ask for forgiveness again

Regarding my intelligence, yes, I am a pharmacy graduate with a masters degree in medicinal chemistry. I have a very good ELO in the chess game.
So definitely people mistake me and often complain about my numerical mistakes in life. The disease is bipolar depression, which is not progressing but treatment-resistant. For one month I can difeat somebody with Chess Elo of 1700, and the next month I can get difeated by a 3rd grade student.
This is why the Canadian government gives me a disability pension. Most of the time I use writing apps to express my thoughts. Those thoughts are coming from a reasonably intelligent self.
I did realize that I was giving you trouble in the years 2023 and 24; that was the reason I have backed up.
I am quite sure you had no issue when I was writing in the early mentioned "jaycdps opening." If you permit again, I will provide positive inputs for BKs and all breakaway groups.
I am quite sure a gentleman like your self will not have any problem providing positive inputs for our souls without judgements in the so-called "Jaycdps personal opinion.
om Shnathi
Jaycdp Brother.
