Lies and Deception in Sangamyug !!
What Is The Definition of Deception and Lies?
Deception involves acting in such a way, which leads another person to believe something, that you yourself do not believe to be true.
Simple Test for Deception :
People often claim that they are not misleading others even though they are intentionally withholding important information from them. People like to think this way, because it makes it easier for them to deceive others.
So, a good test to see if one is lying to someone is as follows:
"If you have nothing to hide, why not tell the complete truth?"
This is usually the best way to determine if you are misleading someone, regardless of your intent.
When it comes to deception, people tend to be rather big hypocrites. When I leave out important details, I am not misleading you. But, when you do the same to me, it feels deceptive.
=========
A simple query to all bk-pbk brothers :
If there is deception in this outside physical world, where is the seed of deception in Sangamyug...is it in the bk family(base world) or is it in the pbk family(seed world.)
Brothers are requested to share their views.

Re: What is deception ??
By your own logic, would you agree that the BK family sows the seeds of gross deception (which is true ... delusion would be a better word for it), the PBK family sows the seeds of subtle deception, but the advanced 100 top souls sow the seeds of the most refined deception of the self and others? Delusion and deception that only the top 8 would spot.shivsena wrote:If there is deception in this outside physical world, where is the seed of deception in Sangamyug...is it in the BK family(base world) or is it in the PBK family(seed world.)
One could also split the BK family into two, e.g. the deities that are sweet, kind and polite ... but deceptive, and the warriors who are aggressive and start to fight when their deception is revealed.
I am not a PBK and have no done the Advanced course so I do not know what the official answer is, I am just applying simple, basic logic.
Is it possible to be deceptive for the good reasons, e.g. to be non-hurtful of others feelings?
Re: What is deception ??
In the "outside world" almost all religions THINK that they are the "chosen few" - the Jews, the Mormans, the Quakers, The Amish, the Jevoah witnesses.... They go to the extent that they think "they" are superior/higher-in-rank and try to impose or convert people to their religion/beliefs.
Is this true for the "inside world" also?
So, let's leave room for the possibility of self-DECEPTION.

IMO, The bk family is ignorant about the secrets hidden in the Murlis, so i feel that ignorant BKs are not in a position to decieve anybody... (...."only the knowledgeable deceive the ignorant" (like in any other worldly field: a doctor who knows his subject well, can very well deceive his ignorant patient and fleece money from a patient by doing an operation, which was really not indicated...i have seen this myself in mumbai as i am a surgeon and i see lot of patients being deceived and being operated un-necessarily.) ...So it is always the exploitation of the ignorant by the knowledgeable.

The seed of everything is in the Sangamyugi world of brahmins....the foundations of Bhakti-practices are first practised in a subtle manner in the subtle Sangamyugi drama and then practised practically in the broad drama. (Murli point: "Sangamyug ka rahasya-mayee drama hi bhavishya mein repeat hoga")...("the secret drama of Sangamyug is going to be repeated in the future next Kalpa".)
Very well said and quoted. So, let's leave room for the possibility of self-DECEPTION.

Re: Lies and Deception in Sangamyug !!
Lies Defined:
1) To make a statement that one knows to be false, especially with the intend to
deceive.
2) To give a false impression.
3) Anything that gives or is meant to give a false impression.
Variations of the Lie:
1) Derail: To change the subject of discussion in order to avoid the truth. (For
example, one might feign being offended in order to stop a conversation about
ones questionable actions.
2) Confuse: quibble or confuse the issue, or deliberately use ambiguity in order to
deceive or mislead.
3) Misinform: To invent or perpetrate a false story with the intent to
deceive or mislead.
The Lie of Omission:
A lie of omission is to remain silent when ethical behavior calls for one to speak up. A lie of omission is a method of deception and duplicity that uses the technique of simply remaining silent when speaking the truth would significantly alter the other person's capacity to make an informed decision.
The Biggest Lie About Lies -- A Lie of Omission Is Not a Lie!
A lie of omission is the most insidious, most pervasive, and most common lie on the entire planet. Commonly, those who use this type of lie, have conned themselves into believing that to intentionally remain silent when ethical behavior calls for one to speak up is not a lie at all. In spite of overwhelming evidence that their silence deceives, misleads, and often causes untold grief and misery, they refuse to speak the truth.
The Inevitable Consequences: There is also the common misconception that intentional deception by silence has no consequences. Lies of commission (telling a lie) and lies of omission (withholding the truth) are both acts of intention deception. Both reap the same consequences.
