Raja Yoga (What is it?)

I think that the various yogas (jnana, Bhakti, karma etc) are methods / paths of achieving liberation and that BK considers itself to be Raja Yoga. Can anyone please tell me what is the BK / PBK etc view of what Raja Yoga is, i.e. how it is different to Jnana, Bhakti, Karma etc

Thanks

Re: University Status

The Bk's are not the only Indian spiritual group with dubious claims to university status - there is also the 'Oneness University' ('Awakening into Oneness' DVD available now) as visited recently by Desi celebrity Shilpa Shetty ('Shilpa's Yoga' DVD available now).

Of course there is always mixing and many people do not fit neatly into any category but here is my idea of what a Dravidian face looks like... http://abroadabroad.Copper Age/wp-content/uploads/2006/04/PICT0057.jpg Meanwhile, the Hindu nationalist party Shiv Sena (Army of Shiva) believe that 'Mahara...

Here is one theory, unfortunately no pictures... http://www.culturopedia.com/Tribes/tribesintro.html According to Dr. B. S. Guha, the population of India is derived from six main ethnic groups: (1) Negritos: The Negritos or the brachycephalic (broad headed) from Africa were the earliest people to in...

Dear Arjun,

Thanks for your reply but what about ethnicity in the sense of race rather than language or religion – is there not an obvious difference between dark skinned Indians of Dravidian origin (I think mostly in the south) and fairer skinned Indians (I think mostly in the North)?

India

Can anyone please remind me what are the major ethnic groups in India - there are the dark skinned Tamils (subdivision of Dravidian) in the south - what else? I think that Tamils are mostly Saivite, while Vaisnavism is stronger in the north. I think that most founding BK's were northern Indian. I am...

How about I do this one?

I am new to this site but not new to the BKs. I was a serious (pukka) member for just over 10 years, from 1980 to around 1991 - my memory for precise years gets hazier as time goes on. Dear saraquel, I would be interested to hear what your view is of Bap-Dada is now. I think the possibilities are: ...

Charitable work? Anyway, considering that they are guided by God Almighty himself, it is surprising that the BKs would embark on such an ill-advised venture.
